Hi, and thanks for checking out my work!  I do have artwork for sale so please contact me if you are interested; 971-212-0266.  I haven’t been painting much of late since my life has changed (in great ways).  I do occasionally get inspired, when I am able to get out and around horses – which I do any chance I can get.  Wishing you and yours safety and health at… Continue reading

Boxes, Boxes and MORE boxes!!

That’s what my life is all about this summer and into the Fall.   My house is in disarray and my art supplies are put neatly away while our house goes through a remodel.  I look forward to painting horses again by the end of the year.  If you send me an email, I’ll gladly add you to my mailing list when new art becomes available.  My email is… Continue reading

Year of the Horse…

Posted: June 27th, 2014 by Megan

Wow! It’s an awesome year of the (wood) horse so far, filled with new growth and opportunity. It’s OUR year. The Horse year. Yet, I’m stepping back from painting and creating new work for awhile as I wait for my house to get remodeled. So…I’m a voyeur these days and LOVE all the equine artwork I see all over! It’s inspiring to see the horse being so revered and honored…and… Continue reading

Unbridled…

At an equestrian social event recently, we were asked to quickly introduce ourselves – who we were, and perhaps a tagline of sorts for our business.  Before my turn came, my mind searched for clarity on who I am.  I’m an artist.  An equine artist…and I support equine rescue through my art.  And I just recently got back into my art after blah blah blah…….no response

The HORSE Connection!

Posted: June 28th, 2013 by Megan

What I love most about vending my art at fairs and events, is connecting with other people who KNOW horses!!  I mean know HORSES!   The real thing.  The animal that neighs and kicks and enjoys a dusty roll after a sweaty ride.

It thrills me to hear the stories these people share with me about their horse experiences;  their childhood horse(s), their family’s working ranch, the grandparents who raised racing… Continue reading

Stunning!

When I see beautiful horse paintings or illustrations, it practically takes my breath away!  I’m awed and inspired to experiment and stretch my artistic ‘legs’ so to speak.  My artist rebirth is still very young and, I must admit, a little wobbly at times…so surrounding myself with other artist’s work helps me develop a sense of direction.

One of the artists whose horse paintings has inspired me for years is… Continue reading

My dream job…

Posted: December 21st, 2012 by Megan

I’ve been a horse collector ever since I was seven or eight years old.  I’ve got a HUGE collection of horse figurines from all over the world…just horses:  no Pegasuses, Unicorns, or riders…just horses. China, glass, wood, soapstone and various plastic types.  And granted…many, in fact, MOST of the early ones have been repaired at least once – since to me…they were alive!  They bucked, neighed, ran around and jumped… Continue reading

Why am I here?

Posted: December 17th, 2012 by Megan

I’ve recently started selling my art at fairs,  learning the retail ropes…what I need in the way of display items, where to sell and so forth.  The part I like best so far has been connecting with people who love horses.  They may not have them in their lives anymore…but they have a deep connection to the horses they’ve had in their life…and each story I hear is different. I… Continue reading
